I am a post graduate volunteer in the Marine Biochem Lab, where I just recently received my B.S. in Biochemistry from the School of Molecular Sciences here at ASU. I’ve always loved being near the ocean, with many of my favorite memories taking place by the sea. I am so incredibly grateful and excited to be a part of the lab team here led by Dr. Liza Roger! I am currently researching cell culture media formulations and investigating the establishment of immortal coral cell lines.

I originally started my biochemistry degree with the intention of going into the cosmetics science industry, but switched my career path early on as I became more aware of the impacts of industries on the environment, especially on marine and aquatic life.

I am interested in combining biochemical research with environmental sciences as the two are deeply intertwined, allowing us to understand how organisms react to climate change on a molecular level and for us to develop ways to do our part for combating and mitigating the effects.
