I’m a sophomore at ASU, Tempe campus studying Biological Sciences, emphasizing on Conservation Biology and Ecology. I love science and wildlife biology has always come naturally to me.
Maybe it’s because I have spent my entire life far from any body of water, but the ocean has fascinated me for as long as I can remember. I remember being a small child watching a nature documentary about the deep ocean and being mesmerized by the strange, otherworldly, creatures that dwell in the dark.
Given the current climate crisis and the worldwide effect of ocean warming, I feel called to do what I can to learn and help prevent further damage to fragile aquatic habitats. There is still so much left to learn about the mysterious world under the sea and I want to do what I can to protect it before it’s too late.
Once I finish my bachelor's degree at ASU, I plan on participating in the 4+1 master's program here as well; after that, who knows where the ocean will take me….
